Journey and Template Duplication

To duplicate a Journey, click the three-dot menu on the Journey card and select "Duplicate." The creation form will open pre-filled with the original details, allowing for modifications before publishing.

What:
  • Introduces an option to duplicate existing Journeys and templates directly from the Journey card menu (3 dots).
  • Opens the Journey creation form pre-filled with the original Journey’s details for quick modifications.
Why:
  • Save Time: Simplifies the process of creating similar campaigns by reusing existing Journeys.
  • User Convenience: Reduces manual effort and ensures consistency by pre-populating fields with the original Journey’s information.
  • Error Reduction: Helps users avoid unintentional changes to the original Journey by working from a duplicate.
How:
  • From the Journey card, click the three dots (...) menu.
  • Select the Duplicate option.
  • The Journey creation form will open, pre-filled with the original Journey’s details. Users can modify the details before publishing.

Use cases:

  • Seasonal Campaign Reuse
    • A nonprofit runs a successful year-end fundraising campaign and wants to create a similar one for an upcoming event (e.g., Memorial Day).
    • Benefit: Allows quick replication of proven campaigns with minor adjustments, saving time and ensuring consistency.
  • A/B Testing of Journeys
    • A nonprofit wants to test variations of a Journey (e.g., different messages, call-to-action buttons, or time delays) to determine the most effective flow.
    • Benefit: Facilitates rapid A/B testing by duplicating Journeys and adjusting specific elements for comparison.
  • Backup Before Major Edits
    • Before making significant changes to an active Journey, a user duplicates the original as a backup to preserve its current state.
    • Benefit: Reduces risk and allows a fallback option if changes don’t perform as expected.
  • Streamlining Team Collaboration
    • One team member creates a Journey that another team member needs to use as a starting point for a separate initiative.
    • Benefit: Encourages collaboration by enabling teams to share and reuse successful templates.
  • Iterating on Successful Journeys
    • After analyzing the metrics of a successful Journey, a nonprofit wants to duplicate it and introduce minor improvements (e.g., shorter delays or updated messaging).
    • Benefit: Promotes iteration and continuous improvement without impacting the original Journey.
